Daikoku PA had been a legendary meeting spot for JDM fans, hashiriya street racers, and bosozoku-style crews — long before Tokyo Drift turned it into pop culture. That’s where I met Dai, a Chinese student living in Tokyo, with his BMW M2 Coupé. Around us: only lowered Supras, RX-7s, and old Silvias.
The next morning, we were already cruising through Chūō, one of Tokyo’s sharply structured districts. The clean design of the M2 fit perfectly into the city’s grid — like it was made for it. Only the color didn’t follow the rules and demanded attention.
